Description of ๐Ÿ’ฆ USA-Made HydroCheck HC8000T: Advanced Timed Sump Pump Controller

EASY-TO-INSTALL SINGLE SENSOR DESIGN: No need to access hard-to-reach areas of the pit. Simply secure the sensor to the discharge pipe just below the drain tile and program your desired cycle length. NO SUBMERGED PARTS IN PIT TO BE AFFECTED BY MINERALS OR DEBRIS: Dry-sensor technology prevents iron or calcium build-up on the sensor that can shorten the service life of traditional float switches! Get this pump switch

I've never had much luck with float style pump switches. The well next to the pump is a little cramped and the float gets stuck in either the down or up position. therefore, the pump does not start or stop, and the pump burns. We bought it in 2007 and at first I had a problem with the sensor. I sent it back and they replaced the probe and it has worked great for the past 9 years. This is a lot more expensive than any other type of switch, but a lot cheaper than replacing a flooded oven!

Pros
  • The best in the niche
Cons
  • Only available in white

This controller is beautiful and easy to set up

I recently moved to Florida and have a swamp in my yard that pumps excess rainwater out of my house. However, the problem I had was that the previous owner had a pump in the pit; Every time it rained I had to go outside, plug in the pump and stand there until it stopped pumping water. I bought this controller, connected a pump to it and set up a sensor. Every time it rains I don't have to go outside and turn on the pump. It turns on when the pit is full and turns off when the pump isn't pumping

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some cons

I adapted the device for outdoor use

The device was exactly what I needed, but I missed the part about the controller being inside and not in the water. It didn't take long to invent a waterproof box of Home Depot parts. I've tried 3 different float switches in 5 years, but all of them often wouldn't turn on and off. So far this block is working great. Note. The sensor block has two wires that I ran through the conduit to get to the outer pan. As a result, I needed ground for water in the swamp to activate the sensor. I solvedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Much better than a traditional float switch! Easy to install and use.

Bought and fitted over the weekend. Much better than a mechanical float switch. My sump is leaking a lot due to the high groundwater in my area, but the hard pump I use is very reliable. What always fails is the mechanical switch. So instead of spending $$$ to replace the entire unit, I started by just changing the float switch. However, depending on the size of the fountain, the float switch will fail or get stuck in an obstruction and stop functioning properly. On the other hand, this thingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

The perfect companion for the Zoeller M53 submersible pump

I love everything about the Zoeller M53 submersible pump except the float switch design. The water level range is too low due to the fixed switch design, and the pump starts pumping more often than it should. temporary version of the HC8000) and I can safely say that this is the PERFECT companion for the Zoeller M53 and the easiest and safest use with this pump. With a few adjustments, this HC8000T lets you set essentially any water level you want the pump to turn on, but then rely on a Zoeller

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Only available in black

It worked well then started to fail about two years after purchase

I bought this sensor in October 2016. Installation was easy, it worked as it should and worked well enough for a long time. At the end of May the sensor stopped working. First, the sensor turned on the pump several times, all water was pumped out and the pump did not turn off, causing pump cavitation and an alarm. After a few months, the sensor stopped turning the pump on when water entered. I checked the ground connection in the pan with a multimeter, checked the sensor for debris, everythingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Not bad
