Amazing price for professional color.

This review refers to the watercolor set "St. Petersburg White Nights" with 24 complete pots. In short, I really like this set. For professional watercolors, the price couldn't be better. The paints come in full pots, so you're getting great value for your money too. I would recommend this brand, either this set or the smaller 9 color set they also sell at Revain, to both aspiring artists and seasoned watercolourists on a budget. get into the watercolor. I own both and totally disagree with these recommendations. For a similar price, maybe a few dollars more, you can purchase White Nights paints, which are far superior in quality to Cotman paints. Let's look at the list of pros and cons: Pros:. Price. These are professional quality paints at a very affordable price. The value for money is second to none. Most of these colors are very easy to activate without overloading the pots, and a small amount of color will do. If you switch to this set after using the school watercolor set before, you will immediately see and feel the difference. The palette is huge! I've included a photo of an 8 1/2" x 12" sketchbook for reference. When the palette is fully open, you have plenty of room to shuffle. Speaking of mixing space, this palette features 4 large divided wells in the lid, as well as a removable mixing tray with 12 mixing wells. There is a wide range of colors in the 24 color set, which offers great mixing potential. The 17 colors in this set are individual pigments. There's a mix of transparent, translucent, and opaque colors, as well as some grainy colors. Minuses:. The palette is huge. Unless you have a large table this can be an issue so I would recommend a smaller set of White Nights or just transfer these pans to a smaller palette or tin. In my opinion, this set does not have many flaws. Beginners in particular who decide to buy their first set of water jugs should definitely use these!
