I'm not a mechanical engineering guru but I really like this inlet. First of all, it has a 1 million mile guarantee and is made in the USA, so thanks for that. In terms of performance, I noticed a slightly more responsive throttle pedal. If you open the windows you can actually hear the filter sucking in air. This sound is very pleasant, almost like the sound of a turbo, but obviously not that loud. I also had a slight increase in MPG, not a huge jump, but every little bit helps these days. Combined with my Magnaflow catback exhaust it was a good purchase that really improves the sound of the car and improves performance. It's more fun to drive my Fusion, but let's be realistic: the 4-cylinder Fusion wasn't built for racing. The intake manifold comes with a sleeve to attach the filter to protect it from dust and water. So don't be like me and buy it. I installed it professionally so can't comment on the installation but the mechanic did it in under 45 minutes. If you want a slight boost in performance and MPG, I highly recommend you buy this trick, you won't be disappointed.
