I used them to reinforce a clothes rail in a dressing room that was away from the wall. The original installer didn't bother looking for studs to drill into, so it worked! I've used Phillips head screws and hate them so I decided to try a star head on them. It works like a charm - never slips and therefore breaks the Phillips head, which happens 25% of the time. Being 4 inches long, given the thickness of the fairing panel, they were perfect for making 2x4s. Easy start, fast cutting in wood, stayed on star driver making it easy to control, I'm SUPER happy! woman too :-)
