In every blog I read and vlog I watch, Aurifil is considered the best yarn on the market. The line itself is good, I agree - smooth and silky with almost no lint which is the ONLY reason it got two stars - but it only got stuck on the spool 3 times the first time. a few hundred yards or so and it was wound up in a knot that would easily break my needle and possibly ruin my project if I didn't catch it. Wash. therefore it is almost pulled off the spindle and all the way to the left. This is the third time. The second picture is a knot on the spool itself; The third picture is the entire knot after it has been unwrapped. I find any of these shortcomings unacceptable for a cheaper thread; I find all three defects in a spool of very expensive yarn ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. Unfortunately I have a deadline and cannot return it, but I can assure you that I will not be buying anything from Aurifil again.
