Installed today. The product seems very durable and the retractor works well too, time will tell. However, ceiling mounting was a nightmare! The mounting bracket will not detach from the retractor and the unit is heavy making it very difficult to lift it up to the ceiling to try and mark the drill holes. Then driving wood screws is also next to impossible as you have to try and tilt the case 90 degrees to get room to drive the screws and not enough room to shoot with a straight screwdriver. I had to use pliers to tighten the center screw. The designer obviously never tried to install any of them. So I would give 1 star for ease of installation and 5 stars for the device itself.
