I'll never ride without one again. The intercom works great as I can speak AND hear my partner while driving and departing. (dual sport bikes). The volume was my biggest issue, but it's safe to say it's more than loud enough. When comparing the sound quality and bass to the Corvette 10 Bose speaker system, yes, the Sena doesn't sound as good. For mounting a motorcycle helmet, that's pretty good. Installation is easy with a little common sense which explains some of the hard to install reviews as common sense is rare these days.
