Review on IOGEAR 4 Port DisplayPort GCS1904 Compliant by Paul Dye

Still no video after replacement

This item just didn't work for me: I couldn't get a video. I spoke to tech support who advised me to send the device in for a replacement but the replacement also failed. My monitor is an HP ZR2740w, it's not a cheap unit or a foreign brand, and it supports DisplayPort at native resolution (2560 x 1440) quite well, consistent with the advertised range of this switch. This is very disappointing as I have been a fan of iogear kvms since 2009 when I bought a Miniview VGA switch (GCS634U). I switched to a dual link DVI switch (GCS1204G) in 2012. Both switches have worked flawlessly for years - the last one still works (I use it with Displayport to dual-link DVI adapters for some devices). The current unit was designed as a further modernization. It would be if it worked, but KVM without V is of little use.
