Overall for the price I would say these shocks are good. The included brackets are really only for one installation method and it took me a bit of effort to get them working as I had to install them backwards and then change my cover. But they did the job, so it's good. I used them for my greenhouse cover, total cover weight is probably approaching 90 pounds and these dampers handle the weight well. One punch actually held the lid in place, but I installed both to make sure it wouldn't fall on me. Overall it's good and I hope it lasts for years.
