We liked this humidifier at first. It didn't have a filter that needed to be replaced monthly like our old one, and you could see the mist rising as it rose. But after 5 weeks we are done! Water drips when you lift the tank to refill (every 2-3 days) and water frequently drips out of the tank when you change it (which is a bit of a hassle). I was ready to put up with it until I realized the entire setup was getting pink mold in the base and tank on a weekly basis. I cleaned and wiped it down but today I found mold in the top valve where the mist escapes and sinks into the inside of the tank (where only a bottle brush can get). Disgusting! Thought to take a picture but kinda gross. There are too many crevices on the surfaces to clean easily and properly! I even tried a Q-Tip and still couldn't completely clean it. What's the use of blowing wet pink mold particles into the air? Don't buy this! Vicks has a good reputation but this product doesn't reflect that at all!
