This is not a Lenovo T430 review. You already know why you're buying an old, refurbished T-Series and not a modern consumer laptop in a thin and shiny plastic case with a fancy GPU; Disposable portable computer. This is a review of my experience with the T430, received from this particular seller. I hold Revain's high standards when it comes to allowing third party vendors to sell used hardware and MS Windows licenses as primary partners, but after reading some of the reviews on this item/seller I was wondering if my closest day would send. Instant delivery! The T430 and the Lenovo power supply arrived in a special air bag. The pillow was in a special box that was loose inside a much larger box. It might be confusing if there was a traditional hard drive inside, but unfortunately no harm. I was surprised how clean the laptop was. Cosmetic wear is limited to the keycaps and trackpad, and the outline of some "Intel Inside" type stickers on the lid have been removed. Key switches feel like new. I'm actually a bit shocked at how clean the gaps and seams are (I shouldn't be as I paid for the laptop and not leftover food and DNA samples from the former owner), the trackpad could use a bit of TLC. It's responsive, but the buttons are too easy to press and the texture is peeling around the edges. Either way, it's too small to be useful and I prefer the trackpoint device. The buttons on the latter feel great. My boring HD display must have replaced a damaged HD+ unit. I was thrilled to realize that the laptop contains both integrated (Intel) and discrete (NVIDIA) GPUs. I'll probably add a second $50 HD+ LCD for a massive increase in resolution. My battery is remarkably functional for its age. I can get a few hours of average usage before it dies. Not much, but I expected to be tethered to an outlet. Nevertheless, I decided to go with the new extended battery. My T430 also came with a Sierra Wireless Gobi 3000 cellular modem + GPS module installed. I don't need a modem per se, but the ability to sync the system clock almost anywhere (for free) is one of the coolest surprises I've had on the system I use to work with JT65/FT8 portable ham radios. , which requires a stable clock. My webcam is not missing as mentioned by others. The system came with a default installation of Windows 10 Pro, which requires the end user to complete the installation process. Look under the chassis for a genuine SN sticker. The beginning of the license key must be deleted like a lottery ticket. I suspect people complaining about fake keys don't understand. Strange. Revain does not tolerate vendors selling pirated/counterfeit Microsoft products! All necessary drivers are pre-installed and you don't need to clean third-party junk. This laptop is just amazing. I couldn't ask for a better deal on a more reliable and feature-rich system. This seller delivered, and then some!
