Not perfect but still great value

I was a little nervous about buying this, pretty good reviews but the seller was incredibly cool when I ordered. Currently has 94% positive results at 12 months. Rating but only 89% 30 day rating so it looks like customer service is declining. So I received the laptop in a standard box with the correct 90w adapter, with no instructions or anything. Well packaged the laptop looks brand new and appears never to have been used (not even dust on the fan). I checked ALL hardware, webcam worksโ€ฆ

Dead battery, outdated software, BIOS crash

Lenovo T430 arrived on time, about 3 days ago. However, after carefully discharging and fully charging the battery, it was dead within two hours. Two or three times before I called and the person promised to send a new battery. A sticker inside the computer said it had Windows 7. On the other hand it was written that he had Windows 10 Pro, so I used the latest key and downloaded Windows 10. Today I tried to download Linux, they promised it would work. It wouldn't boot and then said the windowsโ€ฆ

Fast, durable, powerful and cheap; but NO webcam

First of all, despite the advertising, my laptop was NOT equipped with a webcam. However, this is one of the best laptops you will find for your money - the specs are AMAZING. I'm a computer science student and this laptop is way more than I ever imagined for $300. The storage is small, but since it is an SSD, it will be used up quickly. It loads in seconds and opens programs instantly. 8GB RAM makes multitasking efficient and easy. The model I received was actually higher resolution thanโ€ฆ

Crashing at all levels

Notebook was a week late. When it first arrived it wouldn't turn on. Started on third try. I received an error message that the battery is not compatible and will not charge. Also, the Wi-Fi card would not turn on. I've been using the ethernet port to update windows hoping this will fix some issues. It's not like this. I then spent a few hours chatting with tech support and they were unable to resolve the issues. I returned the laptop the next morning. It would be hard for me to think of moreโ€ฆ

Built like a tank full of life. and surprises!

This is not a Lenovo T430 review. You already know why you're buying an old, refurbished T-Series and not a modern consumer laptop in a thin and shiny plastic case with a fancy GPU; Disposable portable computer. This is a review of my experience with the T430, received from this particular seller. I hold Revain's high standards when it comes to allowing third party vendors to sell used hardware and MS Windows licenses as primary partners, but after reading some of the reviews on thisโ€ฆ

Ordered T430, Rcvd T430S and wrong PSU

First of all it looks and is a quality repair. But a couple of questions. First, everyone here complains about poor battery life - it's not the battery, it's the AC adapter. The seller sends a 65W power supply. Lenovo requires 90W. Contact the seller and request the correct 90W power adapter or buy one from Revain for around $15. Second: I ordered T430 and the seller sent T430. There are differences between the models - not necessarily good or bad differences, just differences. I contacted theโ€ฆ

Disgustingly dirty for traditional laptops

Let's get the good stuff out of the way first: The laptop arrived on time and was packaged very securely. Unlike other reviewers, a charging cable was included with it. Windows 10 was installed and almost ready to use (see below), all drivers seem to be working. Benchmarking showed what you would expect from a nearly 8 year old laptop. Nice little thing: the laptop arrived disgustingly dirty. Look at the pictures and tell me I'm wrong. Every inch of this thing was covered in scratches, dirtโ€ฆ
