To be honest when I read the reviews before buying there were more bad than good and I should have known straight away. but I ordered anyway. First of all, they literally remind me of Crayola Twistable colored pencils. There's nothing like a mark in them. The only thing they were useful for me was for coloring in block letters. It's so thick that you can't write cleanly. The second problem is that it's almost impossible to break away from the board. It definitely wasn't a simple clean and try again - it was a clean, clean harder, keep washing, give up and get Windex. It smudges so much when you wipe it off that you end up with 100x more dirt than what you started with. In short, save your money and buy a real liquid chalk marker. You'll save yourself a lot of time and hassle (and Windex, if you're me).
