Repairing my 2008 Jeep Cherokee

Over the past few years, the tailgate has started to fall on my head when it's been a bit cold outside (even around 50 degrees). I finally broke down, randomly picked this one out of all the options Revain has and it arrived very quickly. Installation was very easy. I had to use a flathead screwdriver to remove the retaining clips on the existing stands. This took about 2 minutes. I then had to remove the old racks, which took about 2 minutes. I think it helped that you realized you have to lift the gate as high as possible for it to release. Then I put them on super fast. Again, you'll need to lift the gate as high as you can to open it. I did one side at a time. All in all about 10 minutes alone, including the learning curve. Why didn't I do this 2 years ago? I can't say anything about durability as I replaced it a few days ago. But still, for about $20, I get a much easier-to-use and safer machine.
