Overall good quality, knife sharpening takes time. I bought an expensive set of knives two years ago and it comes with a sharpening steel, it sharpens quickly in everyday use but can't sharpen in detail. Such a whetstone is needed in a very good household, the knife should be sharpened with a stone every 6 months to keep the parts sharp. While 8000 grit isn't used that often, for most kitchen use, anything up to 4000 grit will suffice. I recommend watching a few YouTube videos before deciding to purchase a set of whetstones.
