This is literally the softest like that I've ever felt. I kind of did one of those squealy girly, oh my god it's so soft I can die, reactions when I pull it out of the packaging. Not going to lie my roommate did too and is now totally coveting this blanket.I was pleased with the packaging because they vacuum packed it which meant that much less extra packaging was used. Of course in an ideal world, every company would switch to plastics made from corn, soy or any of our other lovely sources of the necessary molecules to make plastic.Of course like any item I always recommend washing before the first use so that you can get rid of any sizing or off-gassing from the materials and the items. Even after washing it, on cold and gentle, It's soft like a pile of kittens. And I actually have a very fuzzy kitten to compare it to. It recommends hanging it to dry but I dried it on low and it came out great.I was torn between the red check and the black check but I'm glad I picked this pattern because it really does match my stuff better. I have another thicker blanket just like this and this one's just as warm. Looks like it's time for a little out with the old, In with the new 😁.I'm thinking of buying a few more of these and sending them to friends and family. In times like now, especially, I would love to send a soft cuddly warm hug to my friends.Is it just me or has the quarantine made you a little bit sappy? I'm starting to feel like a hallmark card sometimes and I'm not sure I'm okay with that. Heck maybe I could pick up some extra cash becoming a greeting card writer.
