I have to say I only got about 3/4 of the way. But so far it has been a lot of fun to do with my 12 year old daughter. I wouldn't say it's "easy to put together" but I think it belongs as it's a puzzle of sorts. Some parts are a bit difficult to pull out, but overall it's been fun and looks really cool so far. It's a thin wood after all as far as "durability" goes, but I don't think it's meant to hold family heirlooms. If your kid loves Lego as much as I do, this is definitely a great next step. .
