. Quality lens in this category. It's very well built, feels solid, with a rubberized ring that holds up great. It's big, but with the Sony a 6300 it feels good in your hand. The most important thing for me: It is very sharp, from the center to the corners. My specimen shows no chromatic aberration in the photos I've taken so far, but has yet to be tested against high-contrast dark/light subjects. Colors and contrast are very pleasant, neither too pale nor too saturated. Similar to Rokinon with neutral contrast/colors of their 12mm f2.0 lens. The Sigma has autofocus and it's fast. I took some street shots at night and even at f/1.4 the sharpness is ridiculously incredible. After my disappointment with the Sony 10-18mm f4 which was very soft, the Rokinon 21mm f1.4 with an imprecise focus ring (infinity mark) I'm really happy with this lens. Imo Sigma has filled that gap with a high-quality, sharp, fast, wide-angle autofocus lens. For videos I have yet to test it, although from what I can see and read on YouTube it works very well. The shots I took with this Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens are very satisfying and comparable to the shots I take with my favorite Sony 28mm f2 lens. Update: I tested it over the weekend and I love it. Small photos might not tell you anything here, but full-size photos show that the lens is very sharp in low light, even wide open, and there's little to no chromatic aberration at high contrast. A wonderful lens that I highly recommend!
