I've had a heck of a lot of time with this. The moment I started adding the soaking liquid, my mare lifted her leg. In this case, the foam insert will pop open at the bottom. I would then have to get into the boot to try and reattach the foam insert underneath for my horse to stand on. I had to repeat this process several times. As you can imagine, my hand got pretty wet when I put it inside his boot and tried to hold on to the foam insert. The insert is designed to prevent the horse's hooves/hoofs from piercing the bottom of the boot. Not the best design if you don't have the perfect horse.
