To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a sandbox at this price, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sole is made of solid foam rubber, the straps are made of good, dense canvas, with velcro on the bottom. I have thin feet and the straps fit well without overlapping. The upper part of the sole has a texture that prevents the foot from slipping. The sole has a raised arch, which is rare in budget sandals. They are also very comfortable. Highly recommended
