I can honestly give this product 5 stars. I literally had to use thousands of 4 inch zip ties to tie up my loose wires on my senior year's Christmas lights. Baum, the winding that holds the three strands together, is separated. I used 4 inch zip ties to hold the wires together while keeping the form factor small enough to attach the wood as usual. Last year I tried to do it by hand using wire cutters to cut off the end of the tie and it was awful. I had to give up and just put them on after a while. It took forever, but with this tool it was actually doable. The adjustable rheostat on the handle also works quite well. I've used it on setting 3, maxed out, and it's tight, but not tight enough to damage the wires. Overall I am very happy with this tool and would buy it again. I would recommend it to a friend. It has withstood about 4,000 black 4" zip ties, plus a few larger ones (e.g. 10"). It leaves a slight tail as you can see in the picture, but this picture is quite puffed up so overall I'd say I'm happy with the smoothness of the cut. You can only get closer if you cut them open with a knife, but then you really make a career out of it!
