I wanted to use the headphone jack extender at work so I don't have to plug my headphones under my desk. One star deduction because the cable is only a few centimeters long. I have a USB extender for it and it's great. There's a small amount of LED backlighting, but it doesn't stand out against the office's neon lighting. I could have bought a 3.5mm extension cord but figured I could take one home for when I stop listening to podcasts or music at work. I have two headsets at home, but only one USB extension cable. It's much easier to connect one of these than two 3.5mm plugs for a headset and microphone. My borderline trashy headphones sound great, no complaints. I know it's geared more towards gamers.
