When I received this High Pressure Rain Shower Head from Voolan, BOY - was I excited. I really, really wanted to install this and replace my (yawn, boring) shower head that sprays like a normal shower head. You mean, I have the chance to shower in a rainforest setting? All I need to do is install this beautiful device, pipe in some jungle sounds and close my eyes? Sign me up, Tarzan!Good news here - the shipping box was well packaged for shipping. Everything was tightly integrated, so nothing really moved around. Both the shower head and the connector pipe were well wrapped. Nicely done. And so, I began the process of unwrapping everything. Connector pipe, check. Shower head, check. Washers, gaskets and wrench bag, check! Then wait. wait. I touched it. Oh my - the fingerprint it left could be used by any amateur sleuth trying to compare my fingerprint in a line-up. It was as clear as any fingerprint could possibly be. Check the picture - this baby shows fingerprints. Now, is it a dealbreaker? No, of course not - you can wipe it off. Not only that, but the fingerprint would be on TOP of the shower head. I don't know anyone that is 8 feet tall that would be in my shower looking up there saying ".now THAT is a fingerprint!"So I laughed it off and went into my shower to uninstall the old shower head (Thank you for your service, but you are no longer needed, Mr. Shower Head! I have met someone new!)Uh oh. Then just like the first small argument of a newlywed couple, I noticed a problem. The pipe coming out of my wall was cemented in, and at a 45 degree angle. It also had a female end - that meant that I could not install the new shower head right out-of-the-box. Rest assured, I am not a plumber, and I don't know about you, but I was not about to start chiseling the pipe out of my wall even if I was certain that somewhere in there I knew I could unscrew it. Nope, not going to happen. Was the honeymoon period was already wearing off? No way. BOY - was I determined. So, I took a trip to my local home parts store and asked around for both a 45-degree pipe to switch the angle back, and a male-to-male coupler to connect it to the new connector pipe. Know what I got? Two incredibly helpful gentlemen saying "you just need to chisel out the pipe in your wall and connect it that way". Umm, remember about the guy with no plumbers license and a penchant to really screw things up unless it simply does what it is supposed to do? Yeah, that is me, and no, I'm not chiseling into my wall, thank you very much.Headed back home. I had to order more parts and wait. Thankfully, Revain had the parts I needed. Of course they did. but BOY - was I disappointed. When the parts arrived, I connected the 45 degree pipe/coupler combination, then attached the new rain shower head. I did read the instructions and utilized the Teflon tape to keep the pipe threads from leaking. Solid choice. And what do you know - - in less than 15 minutes. RAIN SHOWER! Delightful. Plenty of water pressure, and none of the "spouts" failed. The product claims to have self-cleaning nozzles. Only time will tell if this is the case.In the end, I got what I wanted. Unfortunately, I have to say that the road to the finish was a rough ride. I wish it came with a 45 degree coupler as an option in the box. I don't know if anyone else will have the same challenge I had, but I would definitely check out your install location before purchasing, or I can almost guarantee you won't be installing it out of the box. If you don't have the same issue, it may install perfectly!FINAL THOUGHTS***OH SO!**** Fashionable design* Rain water spout is very relaxing!***SO-SO**** Goes without saying, but there is only one option - rainwater shower. No different options like on other shower heads.* This shower head WILL show fingerprints, but who is looking?* Did I mention you will see fingerprints? Crime scene perpetrators, beware.***NOT SO**** Installation was not easy for me. If you have a cemented 45 degree angle pipe in your shower, you will need more parts. or a plumber.
