I recently purchased an LC1200 to protect my Vidar amplifier and Martin Logan subwoofer. I also bought an APC H15BLK for preamp, DAC, TT, CD player, network streamer and phono stage a few days before. He, the armored personnel carrier, worked exactly as advertised. It's pretty damn quiet, has plenty of quality outlets and AVRs, which was a requirement for the voltage regulators I plan to use in my system. No unwanted noise or hum coming from the speakers since plugging it in. In comparison, the LC was very loud and generated more noise in the speakers. However, he also has an AVR. I understand that the APC is over $150 more expensive, but I think you'll get your money's worth for the investment. The LC1200 seemed a bit cheap. When it was on, it buzzed profusely, bringing enough hum through my speakers that I could now hear it across the room. In contrast, when I removed the LC1200, the hum and noise was more than halved when the components were plugged directly into outlets. I'm sure it's good for your home computer or other accessories, but it's not good for audio conditioner. I will buy another H15BLK and avoid problems with Tripp-lite products.
