They stay in place for the steps
I have a cat that runs down the stairs at full speed and we have a wooden staircase. He slips and slides because his paws are very fluffy. We have them so he doesn't slip when he drives over them and they don't move from where I put them. They fit perfectly and look good. They were easy to place because I just removed the backing and installed where I wanted. It took them about a week for the edges to stay perfectly even, but they didn't move at all and now they don't even have wrinkles or anything.
