We bought these two gray pillowcases in early June to match a bed sheet set we bought from the same company. We have previously purchased a set of blue sheets from this company along with extra pillowcases and have been very happy with our purchases: the sheets seem to be of high quality, comfortable, I like the very deep corners of the pockets for our high mattress. Unfortunately things don't go well with those extra gray pillowcases we bought. The second wash they lost their color in many places (see attached photos) which we only noticed when the pillowcases were on the pillows. There was no bleach in the wash and the sheets themselves were untouched as was everything else in the same load of laundry. The laundry contained only our regular detergent, borax and fabric softener - everything we always use to wash colored items. The fact that only these two pillowcases were affected makes me think of a manufacturing defect in the dyeing. Reviewing our purchase history shows that we have purchased sheets and pillowcases from this company in the past without any problems. Unfortunately the return period has expired so we are stuck with them and I have no way of contacting the company. I hope they send us replacements. In the meantime I would be wary of repeat purchases from this company until they can guarantee that the color batches are fine and the color will not bleed in the wash.
