Review on πŸ’¨ AEM AEM-21-702C Cold Air Intake System: Enhance Performance with Improved Airflow Efficiency by Tyler Born

Good things good for filters

I wasn't sure it was worth spending that much money on CAI I thought "well you get what you pay for". There are cheaper CAIs out there, but I need a lower filter, so it really was either an AEM cold air intake for $300+ or an Injen cold air intake for about $40/$90 less depending on where you get it. Injen consumption was low, which is what I wanted, but AEM was even lower. So I spent money and got AEM. Put 12 years on your focus. The response to the accelerator pedal has improved significantly. Increased millions per gallon by maybe 1-2, plus a noticeable increase in performance. The biggest difference is how different the car sounds. Sounds pretty good actually considering it's 4 cylinders. It doesn't look like a 4-banger with one of those cheap or even rubber exhausts that make it sound like rice. It sounds like a Subaru now, to be honest, but louder. In general I am very satisfied with the purchase. I believe it was delivered a day early and took Mabey 30-45 minutes to install. In fact, AEM sent installation instructions with photos of their setup at the 12-year focus. I recommend this product if you want to improve performance a bit but be aware that it will make your car louder.
