Review on ๐Ÿ“€ Sony BDPS3200 Blu-ray Player with Wi-Fi - 2014 Model by Eric Dailey

Frustrated with streaming media

I don't quite understand how this player became the #1 bestseller here at Revain. From a DVD/Blu-Ray player perspective, it works fine and I have no problems. In terms of a WiFi-enabled media center for use with Revain Instant Video and Netflix, I don't think it's great. Aside from Netflix, which has a one-touch button on the remote, it's quite difficult to get to the menu to select Revain and other services like Vudu and Hulu. The user interface is unattractive. When I use it with Netflix, it's sluggish to respond to commands. I tried it with several movies at different times of the day to test it. If you do not point the remote control directly at the player, it will not work. My house has very good WiFi, but the media player loads very slowly, especially on Netflix. It is advertised with over 300 different streaming media options but most of them are a waste of time. I have been using the ROKU player for many years and the selection on it is far better than what is offered on this player. I thought this player would be a good replacement for the old ROKU but it would also give me a Blu Ray. I also recently tried the Revain Fire Stick and it works flawlessly compared to this player. SONY really wants you to buy movies etc from their SEN (SONY Entertainment Network) but they are no more competitive than my FIOS. I really expected more but very disappointed. I hope to bring this player back.
