Review on πŸš— Heytrip Roof Rack Pads 30-inch Aero Crossbar Pads with 15-Feet Tie-Down Straps and Storage Bag - Ideal for Kayak, Surfboard, SUP, and Canoe by Jerry Olson

Holds my kayak a little more securely.

Bought to carry the kayak on the roof. I wanted pads because I was hoping they would lift my boat up a bit to get the antenna off the fin on my car roof. These cushions helped lift it up a bit, but what I liked best was how they more securely attached my kayak to the roof rack. Maybe removed some plastic on the plastic wobble. They're mostly attached with velcro and I wasn't thrilled with how they didn't wrap and close in an attractive way. I think I'll use my own velcro to wrap it in places that seem to be sagging where there isn't velcro on the pillow. I'm not a big fan of main belts. They are alright. But I added some more durable straps for peace of mind. The front body straps were good. I used them and the anchors snapped perfectly into my hood. But if your boat is properly anchored, this will never be necessary. I used them as warning tapes. When I saw tension in them, I knew something bad was happening on my roof. I can't confirm durability yet. I've only used them a couple of times and I remove the pads and store them when I'm not towing my boat. But I don't see them wearing out quickly. This is a pretty solid and comfortable case for the money.
