Review on Parafilm® Grafting Tape Genuine Clear by David Perez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Holds grafts well and grows with them.

I recommend this for several reasons: 1) It is very flexible and will grow with the graft within the first month or two. I suggest removing it once the scion has hardened. 2) After removing it once the scion has hardened, when you unroll it from the scion it will form a great elastic band to hold the grafted scion to the stem or support rod. in case a strong wind tears down a perfectly established graft. This year I did 10 vaccinations and 4 jump shots to fix damage caused by mice and voles. All 10 grafts and 2 of 4 bridge grafts implanted. I'm fairly new to transplantation so it's not that bad. The grafts are growing so fast (all on apple trees) that I believe they will propagate to them in the nest of trees. Good product. I highly recommend this if you don't check your grafts every day. I've seen vinyl tape kill trees, but it doesn't.
