I did some pretty extensive research when trying to find an easy living room sound solution that sounds great. My search led me to ZVOX, an American company led by industry sound veterans. I am more than pleased with my purchasePhysical product: Very solid and sleek. It is a bit taller than the bottom of newer tvs since tvs have dramatically cut down on bezel in recent years, so expect to either lay it on its back (soundbar is designed for this), prop up your tv, or mount it. The LED indicator on the front is very nice and easy to read.Remote: Simple and effective, the product is designed to be simple so there are options for bass, treble, accuvoice, output leveling, and different sound profilesInstallation: Simple and efficient, plug in the sound bar to the power, plug the input into your tv. I recommend using optical if you have it on your tv (you probably do) for the best sound quality. you will be up in running in 10 minutes, Zvox's installation instructions are very easy to read if you are not a techy person.Sound quality: Excellent quality, it provides a very expansive sound and is capable of going much much louder than I would prefer to listen. The Bass is strong, and I think most people would not feel the need for an additional unit. The virtual surround sound is about as good as it can get virtually, you definitely get a directional sense and depth of sound, it is not quite true 5.1, but the overall audio quality is so excellent I would rather have that then a mediocre 5.1 system for the same price. The accurvoice and ouput leveling are good for what they are.Music streaming: Music streaming over Bluetooth is ok, about as good as you would expect for Bluetooth. My recommendation (and zvox) is to get a chromecast audio (not sold on amazon, get it from new egg, best buy, or walmart) and hook it up over optical. The music quality over the chromecast is excellent and makes for great streaming music at parties. The chromecast audio is inexpensive (35.00 new) and magically make your device a much better deal than a sonos bar with higher quality audio at a significantly reduced price.
