Review on Mighty Mutt Hypoallergenic De-Shedding Dog Shampoo 16 Oz - Reduce Shedding, Clean & Nourish Fresh Breeze Scent by Matt Tbone

Cleans well, scent is ok, removes tons of undercoat!

We have 3 dogs who are all shedders, there’s a constant layer of hair on everything as well as hair tumbleweeds in our home. It’s exhausting trying to keep up with it all, but I think that this shampoo could be part of the solution! We washed all three pups with it and made sure to follow the directions- you want to let the lathered soap soak in for 3 minutes before rinsing. The scent is not bad, just not incredible. Just kind of natural and fresh smelling but not super strong. No heavy perfumes, that’s for sure. Well, once the 3 minutes were up and we began rinsing and running our fingers along their coats to get all the soap out, TONS of hair was coming out. Not enough to be concerned, it’s not like it was removing clumps of hair or something, it was just all the undercoat that sheds and makes a mess everywhere. Once they were dry I brushed them thoroughly and I found their stubborn areas that tend to be thick with undercoat to be less dense and easier to brush through. There was still a LOT of hair removed from brushing but I feel like this shampoo is a great aid in shedding reduction. I also feel like I should mention that years ago I worked at a kennel and I did a lot of dog washes. The amount of hair that was removed from my dogs during their bathing with this deshedding shampoo is not the typical amount. What came off of them during their bath would be more in line with a Husky, Akita, or Chow. My point is, this shampoo really does remove more hair than normal shampoos do. I really hope this review has been helpful to you!
