
All you need is a long blue PCIe 3.0x4 slot . Be careful - if you have a graphics card it goes in the same slot, so either you don't use a graphics card or you have more than one such slot (usually only more expensive motherboards). I've tried this on a gigabye motherboard that matches 3rd gen Intel processors (I have an i7-3770) and it won't boot Windows, probably nothing will boot right away (ie via the BIOS) so you'll need a Clover -need configuration. Don't worry, it's easy, just search online and it will install on a small flash drive that will help your motherboard boot from this card. It's totally worth the effort.
