Review on Waste King L-1001 Garbage Disposal with Power Cord, 1/2 HP: Efficient and Reliable Waste Management Solution by Robert Corral

Compact and modern, very easy to install. Everything necessary was in the package, I was able to use my existing exhaust flange as it seems to be standard. The sink adapter that comes with the unit is all you need. I've seen a number of reviews suggesting that buying an adapter for the device will significantly reduce the load on the shower and take up more space. The trick is to pull out the old adapter, sometimes it contains settings that you need to remove first. This appliance had a plug attached to the dishwasher which I forgot to remove causing my dishwasher to stop working. After removing the plug, the device worked perfectly. Haven't had a chance to test the recycle in real life yet, it's a lot quieter than the old one which started leaking when the engine's internal gasket failed. I chose this unit because it was more powerful than our old 1/3 hp unit and had good reviews plus the price was hard to beat. It took me 20 minutes to pull this unit out and install a new one. The only tool I needed was a screwdriver. I didn't go on the sink with the plumbing, but I used a screwdriver to just wipe the old part off, then a paper towel to clean it before pressing the new rubber grommet into the new sink insert. 2 years still works great
