Review on Alla Lighting Newest 194 LED Bulbs: Ultra Bright T10 168 W5W 2825 175 158 CANBUS Replacement for Car License Plate & Interior Lights, 6000K Xenon White by Madison Dickinson

I'll start with the negatives of this product: 1. I'm surprised at how few reviewers (I only found 1) mention how hot bulbs get. A few seconds after inserting this LED bulb into the socket, it got too hot to handle. Just as hot, if not hotter, than the lightbulb it was meant to replace. Apparently, the heat dissipation measures mentioned in the list failed miserably. Now it can be argued that under normal circumstances the light stays on for only a short time and heat shouldn't be a problem. However, I have an older Dodge Ram 1500 that I work with regularly and sometimes leave the door open for long periods of time. The heat generated by these bulbs would be enough to warp the plastic of my top dome and map light assemblies, IMHO.2. The mounting configuration of LEDs causes these bulbs to emit a "beam of light" rather than a "scatter of light". The lamps have reflective surfaces so the bulb will glow, but not in the most ideal way for a car interior.3. The price per bulb is quite high compared to competitors. I figured they must be better than the others since they are so expensive. Not as much! I have since bought 2 different brands of LED bulbs (white and ice blue, 10 each) for a fraction of their cost which have the best LED mounting configuration for optimal lighting (1 has 5 LEDs mounted around the bulb, the others 3). . More importantly for me, they felt cool. Now for the pros: 1. The fit was accurate and easy in my case. No problem to slide them into the socket.2. They are definitely bright! Conclusion: If heat development doesn't bother you and your application perhaps involves a light emission pointing towards a protective screen and a "beam of light" would be ideal, then this is the right lamp for you! And you should be happy to pay for something that is cheaper and better designed elsewhere. I believe that designers and engineers should change this lightbulb a little to create a better product. I will send these back. The competition already gave me my ideas when I started thinking about converting my truck to LED lighting. I hope my review was helpful. Have a nice day!😀
