Review on Block Surf Surfboard Roof Universal by Aaron Hawk

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good price, strong straps. Not good for the track.

Used for the first time today I have a small Kia Forte so maybe that's why I had the problems I had. The quality of the buckles and straps is superb and the foam blocks definitely had enough room for the radio fin in my car. But I didn't feel comfortable driving over 80 km/h with this rack. The buzz started at 55 and the board started catching the wind and lifting a bit. I stopped and checked the straps, they were still tight but just didn't feel right. No big deal, instead I walked the streets to the beach. On the way home, I minimized the lift and rumble by placing the fin as far off the roof as possible while still making contact with another block. I hit 65 before the rumble started. Still brought the streets home.
