I like them and the price makes them a good choice. My only caveat is that the magnet at the top makes her behavior on the bench a bit unpredictable; I often get more than I bargained for when I pick him up from the bank. Extra tips make them durable with proper care. Carbide is brittle, so any rough handling, regardless of grade, will cause fractures. I recommend holding the tip upside down to protect the tip when not in use, or taking care of the small plastic tube that protects the tip during transport and swapping it out between uses. I expect this pair will last a long time. They make nice sharp marks that have a balanced "V" shape as opposed to the "one sided V" marks made by my stadiometer. Balanced marks make finding a hole easier and more reliable for centering the hole, which is my primary use of them.
