I wear shoe size 5.5 - 6 on women. I bought small/medium socks advertised as 5.5 and up to 8.5. The fabric is soft and pleasant to the touch, it washes well. But I have a big problem with them. They are just too big! When tightening, I have to compress the middle compression part and pull the excess over my heels. When I wear shoes they stay in place and work well. However, when I'm just wearing them around the house, the elastic moves forward over my toes and the front of the sock just gathers in front of my toes. If I had big feet it wouldn't be a problem. It is clear that these socks are designed for feet larger than 5.5-6. So if your foot is my size I recommend buying elsewhere.
