Although it holds a wine glass well, you have to remove the existing can holder to use the open hole. I thought the product would be inserted into the glass holder. That's not the case, it doesn't fit in standard can holders. The spring tabs that secure it are very stiff and cannot be removed unless you have access to the underside (as is the case with the armrests for our pontoon boats). Maybe it would fit right into a wider container holder.
