This humidifier is effective. In a 1090 square foot apartment (without walls etc - which you would actually measure with a tape measure) with medium or better ventilation, 2 of these units running at full blast will increase the humidity from 18% to 43%. in the room. Rooms where humidifiers are not installed. The humidifier itself is beautiful and well designed overall. The aesthetics are amazing with any other humidifier I've used and it's virtually silent. This is good for functional design, but not ideal. As for the innards: the water is heated, but I'm not sure if it will boil and kill germs; I have no complaints about the filtering, but I can't agree either. The price of 200 € seems overpriced to me. I would expect to pay around $70 for such an item and walk away happy at that price. If you can pay a little more, this humidifier will likely solve your problem, and do it in style too. EDIT: I bought two of these. One of them broke within a year.
