To avoid too frequent drain cycles and when we are not in shops where they are used I connected them to one branch of a 240v power supply, to enable the supercharger motors and the other foot on the ground. It's not code, but ground is tied to neutral in additional panels with good ground wires in between. The drains run when first turned on, so they will start whenever the compressors are running and turn off when the compressors are off. The compressed air silencer/silencer, also from Revain, makes the drain quiet enough to stand next to without being annoyingly loud. Both compressors are old cast iron blocks that are relatively quiet and very good, so they compliment a well built air system. It's better than trying to remember to empty the tanks. One of the compressors was made in 1947 and needed repairs, but its original tank was badly rusted. This drain saves a new 60 gallon replacement tank.
