Creeping Crud suitable for computer components

<I bought from ProVantage but wanted to warn you> Creeping Crud: This KVM model appeared to be B005-HUA4 eat yourself .-Ergonomics: Bad. The computer select button is small, black on black (not exactly a stunt disaster area, light blue indicator LED). If you used the IR remote, you will see a raised IR sensor on 6ft of wire. - Rear USB ports for keyboard and mouse: The voltage is at the upper limit of the specification (5.24 V, maximum 5.25 V). My Mac KB and Kensington Trackball didn't like it. Luckily I had a powerful USB hub to connect all my peripherals to the HO. - Unreliable switching: Switch to another computer and you may be able to switch back (all ports selected by the switch were faulty). Cycling seemed to solve it, but what a pain. - Audio: feedback-like noise when computers are asleep. There was even noise on the disabled port! Helpline: bright spot. The people at Tripp-Lite were helpful. I need to get a replacement device. I will update this when I get a new block. - Update: poor quality control. Did a teardown as I'm getting replacements. The nut fell out of the body! He noticed that there was no thread lock on the bolt or nut. In addition, the buzzer still had a sticker "Remove after cleaning". Update 2: The 2nd KVM has similar problems. The rear USB ports on the mouse and keyboard have a maximum voltage of 5.25V. The front USB port is 4.93V within specification. When the computer is in sleep mode or not connected, there is a noise like feedback from the audio port. Housing opened, nuts loosened.
