Disappointed Good for Computer Components

I am very disappointed and will be returning this KVM Switch. Despite the product name, I can only get 30Hz @ 4K resolution (UHD actually) from my MacBook and my NUC doesn't work at all (I assume it displays 4K/60). A new Logitech mouse that works great when connected directly to my 2012 MacMini causes the screen to go blank every time the mouse is moved when connected through a KVM switch. Considering these issues, I cannot recommend this product even though it is from a well known brand at a…

Works as advertised but NO CABLE!

So far, so good. I haven't tried either the IR remote or the button combo just to switch the buttons on the front. Works for me; It's in the server room. I have connected Xeon WinServer 2012R2, Core2 Ubuntu 20 and several different RasPi flavors. Everything shifts fine. Just note that this kit DOES NOT include any cables. I was lucky enough to have cables lying around from a previous HDMI KVM switch that was slowly failing for a year and a half. Addendum: If you connect Rasp Pis to this thing…

Test all mouse functions on a computer first

Test all mouse functions on a computer first. Before connecting them all, test the mouse functions on just one. If you can live with what you get, then maybe it will suit your needs. I want all functions to work for my mouse. The mouse functions are limited. I upgraded an old KVM 2 port so the mouse, drivers and computer were fine. The scroll wheel didn't work and the mouse didn't move on extended screens. Deal Breaker and Revain quickly granted me an RMA. PS: I have tried several mice, the…

Works great - computers and accessories

Works perfectly as described. I have a new Mac Mini, Lenovo Thinkpad P1, NVIDIA Xavier AGX and Raspberry Pi connected through it to a 4K display, mouse, keyboard and USB 3 hub.

USB 2.0 keyboard connector only

I bought this Tripp Lite B005-HUA4 to connect two PCs, both AMD Ryzen APUs running Windows 10 Pro, to my HDMI 1080p monitor, main speakers, The keyboard and mouse Logitech. Switching 1080p video works fine with my slightly dated display, as does switching devices connected to its USB 3.0 hub. I couldn't test the sound switching. From my point of view there are two disadvantages. First, the keyboard port is USB 2.0 only, so I can either slow down the built-in Das Keyboard hub and control this…

WITH CAUTION Great KVM Switch

First some caveats straight from Tripp-lite Tech Support:1. It is not possible to disable various "extra" features such as mouse bypass or USB detection toggle.2. There is noticeable latency for the mouse and keyboard when using dedicated ports. The only workaround is to use the forward ports.3. The default IR receiver key is *HUGE* . The Monoprice receiver works well (amzn.com/B005E2XLNM) and is much smaller. With some caveats, this is a great switch for 4k @ 4:4:4 60Hz. It also supports input

Unit #3 works (for now)

I ordered this KVM via a PC connection but wanted to warn potential buyers. My first device was defective immediately. The video didn't show at all, just a black screen. I've spent a lot of time testing different computers and monitors to make sure the cables etc are fine and the KVM is defective. The second block seemed to work. This one had a bad USB port for connecting to a third computer, so anything plugged into it had no keyboard or mouse controls. So in a sense it was a 3-port KVM. My…

Creeping Crud suitable for computer components

<I bought from ProVantage but wanted to warn you> Creeping Crud: This KVM model appeared to be B005-HUA4 eat yourself .-Ergonomics: Bad. The computer select button is small, black on black (not exactly a stunt disaster area, light blue indicator LED). If you used the IR remote, you will see a raised IR sensor on 6ft of wire. - Rear USB ports for keyboard and mouse: The voltage is at the upper limit of the specification (5.24 V, maximum 5.25 V). My Mac KB and Kensington Trackball didn't…
