does not fit my master vacuum

I have an 8 gallon 3.25hp vacuum which the manual says requires part 9-17816. However, this particular filter didn't work because it had a cap attached with a small hole as part of the filter. I want one that is open at the top and can wear my detachable cap instead. I contacted their support team and they were very polite and willing to accept returns. (2 stars for good customer service) However, before ordering, be aware of the type of filter you have.
