Review on πŸ“‘ Metra Electronics 44-PW22 Universal Motorized AM/FM Power Antenna, Fully Automatic - Black by Bryce Wohlman

Poor signal reception

I bought this to replace the power antenna on a 1992 Buick Lesabre that had a broken antenna and motor. It was the cheapest I could find so I took it upon myself. Installing this antenna took some imagination to ensure a secure fit and the wiring harness didn't fit perfectly so some work was needed here. Even the main antenna cable needed an adapter to properly connect to the car. In addition to the installation problems, this antenna offers poor reception. My broken antenna may not have picked up all stations before, but for the ones it did, it provided a much better signal. Static interference affects almost all radio stations, no matter how close you are to the station. The deck features a CD player, auxiliary input and Bluetooth for other sources of audio entertainment. If you just want to replace a broken antenna like mine (the engine didn't stop when the car turned off) do it, but if you plan on listening to the radio a lot I'd recommend spending more money on a better quality antenna.
