Review on Scotch-Brite Stainless Steel Scouring Pad by 3M, 3 Count (2-Pack) by Kate Gagnon

They work great on stainless steel and stoves

They're hard to find in local supermarkets so I bought them online. I love it. Interestingly, some people report no-name brands. I always carry at least two packs of ScotchBrite sponges with me. They work great with our stainless steel cookware. Much better than the rough side of a typical sponge. They are not made of fine wool like Brillo pads. You know the ones that feel like steel wool and have some kind of blue or pink cleaner applied to them? These are thick rolled steel balls. They serve for a while, but over time they lose their round shape, like in my picture. After a while I usually use one last time on the stovetop or something dirtier and then throw it away. For example, I apply oven cleaner to the removable grill plates on my Weber grill. I put it on the newspaper and let it soak. I then used the old pads for cleaning and rinsing. Worked great! Then of course he threw away the pads! I think I replace the mesh ball about every month. Although these are official ScotchBrite pads, I recommend them. They saved me a lot of time by getting rid of the really burnt stuff in my pots. I sometimes use them to take things off before putting them in the dishwasher.
