Review on General Tools Heavy Revolving 73 by Nathan Akers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

VERY USEFUL gadget - personalize bags and belts. Saves $$$

It gets 4 stars for sheer utility for the intended use it can and will receive. the time I use it. I bought it to do two things: to make an extra, professional looking hole in the strap, and to lengthen or shorten the strap of my fairly large collection of bags, both new and vintage. with an awl, and the results were horribly homemade with torn edges. An old-fashioned shoemaker can do it, but such specialists are becoming harder and harder to find, and the price is more than I'm willing to pay. Hence this gadget. It's very hard, so I intend to practice it on a cheaper item first. What can I say but to confess my weakness for such useful things! This rating will be updated later. Many Thanks. ___________________________________________________ Updated Review - June 20, 2018 Used this thing like Etta James - Finally. Used to adjust the length of a high quality leather shoulder bag. Too frugal to pay a shoemaker or so-called leather specialist a disproportionate amount of money for a hole. Mark the spot with tailor's chalk, position the stamp precisely and press UP. Be careful not to get your fingers in the hole. Path. I was able to punch a comfortable hole MINUS any wear material. This device did a professional and helpful job and saved me a few bucks!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
