Review on 🔧 Enhanced DEWALT Router Edge Guide for Compact Fixed Base Router (DNP618) by Avery Sharma

I reordered this item because it is the only DeWalt router edge guide that fits my router. I was able to use it for two years but when I used it again a few weeks ago the adjustable nut stopped working. It just twirled. I've tried everything including using a vise to squeeze the plastic case a little tighter hoping the adjustment would work again. Unfortunately it isn't. Making parts out of plastic (even if it's an expensive phenolic plastic, also known as molecular plastic), when that's something that's being tweaked each time to make it work properly. I didn't tighten it more than by hand and it worked the first 300 times I used it. I looked at all the big stores and small stores nearby and ignored the router manuals except for the ones that are incredibly complicated. Simplicity.
