Used this to support my 11 month old Alaskan Malamute after her hip replacement to correct hip dysplasia. She had been spayed and had a gastropexy the month prior and is still growing back that fur, so I wanted something soft to cushion her abdomen. This worked great for us.Note, however, I did have to adjust it to pretty much to the limit of the length in order to use it and she's already 90-ish pounds and her back comes up to the top of my knee. If you need something to help you with a short dog, or you are tall, it might not work as well for you.
