DO NOT BUY: Not the best security system with various flaws

UPDATE (12/16/2020): I've had the system for about three months. Also bought internal cameras a few weeks after initial purchase. Still having issues but time has expired to initiate a refund. I have contacted Eufy support many times who have suggested various settings and system updates, but errors still occur even with various setup settings. The support team responds with the same apology that their technical team is working on issues. I thought these might be defective 2C cameras and wrote to offer to send replacements. Then in another answer he suggested sending an internal pan/tilt camera as a replacement. It was a good suggestion, but the problems are with the 2C outdoor cameras, not the indoor cameras. In a response, the support team offered a $25 refund for unresolved issues. 25 dollars?! It was insulting. DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM! I can't stress this enough. Bad system. Multiple false alarms. Dysfunctional Zone feature. Inconsistent notifications (sometimes it catches a person, sometimes it doesn't). Flawed AI. Terrible customer support. DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM! GOOD: The camera has a decent picture quality. Setup is pretty easy. The battery-powered 2C camera will last for several months before the AI filters out too many events. Record and store events locally (no subscription fee). BAD: AI detects multiple false positives (example: shadows are detected as human faces). Regardless of how you set up the sensitivity or activity zones, the system often gives false positives from shadows representing a person. Very distracting. How would you heed a REAL alert when you're constantly being bombarded with false positives? The eufy system cries a lot. So much so that you generally refuse to turn on the siren. The configured areas are useless. Basically, you get a bunch of colored rectangles in your app, while eufy still detects outside of those zones (which also drains your battery). And configured zones are inconsistent when motion is detected (same issue as other reviews). Sometimes you get a notification and sometimes you don't. Increasing the sensitivity level doesn't help with inconsistent notifications. However, it does help to capture more activity outside of the set zone. Indoor cameras require a micro SD card to record events. Otherwise it's just a camera. It would be better if the internal camera could connect to Homebase2 and save recordings there. It would also be better if the Homebase2 had a micro SD memory slot instead. Geofencing doesn't work at all for multiple users. Also, if one person is in the zone and the other is out of the zone, eufy will switch the security system to "none". Geofencing will also place a family member "out of zone" even if that person hasn't left the zone all day. Geofences are also incompatible between different departments. An indoor camera reports a different status than the home system (Homebase2). Reported the problem to eufy support. They responded fairly quickly, but the system updates provided didn't solve the problem. After reading the eufy forums, geofencing has been a problem for a long time and it hasn't been solved. After weighing GOOD and BAD, the eufy system does not work as a home security system and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. SYSTEM. This does not provide sufficient security protection.
